Under Windows XP my B&N ebooks are in either My Documents\My BN ebooks or My Documents\My Barnes & Noble eBooks. I think the latter is for Nook Study (vs Nook 4 PC).

I don't have a Nook, but I think you will have to treat these as private documents. The original credit card name and password should still work to unlock the DRM (encryption).
