Good points in the thread.
I understand the need for DRM but I really don't like it.
If there was a subscription program like the Zune has for music ($14.95/mo for all the music you want but when you cancel you lose the ability to play it anymore) I'd gladly buy an ugly kindle to read on.
I like the idea of a netflix sub too, get any 3 books you want but you can't get another until you 'delete 1'.
Hopefully more competition will push the market towards the rights of the customer.
