This is exactly the problem. With MP3 we could buy a CD legally and legally make an electronic version without DRM, thus voting with our feet. Unfortunately with books there isn't a good equivelant
That's why I post things like this, and email publishers and generally make as much noise as possible, hopefully it will eventually pay off
