Please excuse the lack of serious searching but I'm on a Panamanian ISP which should explain all. I really just wanna double click on a book and have it open up the calibre ebook viewer.
Calibre's viewer can be accessed only by books kept in calibre. If your daughter has her books in calibre, all you have to do is double click on the number at the far left of the the line the book is on (with the two most recent versions, you can double click anywhere).

If the books aren't in calibre and you don't want to put them all in calibre, you can add one book at a time by clicking on the Add Books icon. Once added to calibre, you can then just double click on the entry as above. Adding a book to calibre makes a copy of the book and leaves the original alone so you don't have to worry about losing the original. If you don't want to keep the original book in calibre after reading it, use the Remove Books icon to delete the book from calibre. Since the original wasn't touched (unless you deliberately deleted it), removing the book from calibre won't cause you to lose the original.

I recommend keeping all the books on calibre even though learning how to put in 1,000 books may be a bit daunting. That way, you won't have to go through all the add and remove nonsense everytine you read a book.

Note that the calibre viewer will not work with books with DRM.
