That is what I thought. It isn't dangerous to use until I do replace it is it?

I was just looking online and how do I know which ones will work for the "old" model. They probably don't even sell the original "Sony" one anymore. Their website didn't specify it worked on the PRS-505. I am kinda hesitant to buy another cheap generic charger. I have never had one break before on my MP3 players or cell phone. I think it was just a cheap charger.
