My position exactly, and I'm happier with an inexpensive item that's actually useful or enjoyable to me than an expensive piece of clutter that doesn't suit my life. Example: when I got married, I was happier with a set of plastic kitchen storage containers (useful to me) than with a delicate piece of very expensive crystal that didn't at all suit our rather casual lifestyle and that I didn't have room to display anyway.
