For me, we have wifi most places we go. I'm trying to think of a situation where I would be outside the range of wifi and need to go online wirelessly. I'm not opposed to 3G, but trying to see what I'm missing if I don't have it. Still drawing a blank. Perhaps the difference is that I have 0 experience with ereaders.
I have been in places where there is no WiFi and wanted to buy a book so the 3G was great to have. It could very well be that things have changed in the last year and that there are more free WiFi spots so that it would be easier to connect then it was a year ago. I guess I like knowing that I can get what I want pretty much where ever I want.

Not to mention, the 650 does not have WiFi or 3G capability. So the choice is between a larger e-reader with WiFi and 3G or a smaller e-reader without WiFi or 3G. If it was my choice I would get the 950.

For the price of the 950, I would get the K3 and save the $70 to spend on books.
