It Could Happen to U2
I saw Bono driving his black
Suburban down 104th last week.
At least I think it was him.
I don’t know why
he’d be in Thornton, Colorado
but he must have had a reason.
He wore his black
wrap-around sunglasses
with shiny slicked back hair.
I drove beside him
for a couple of blocks
‘til he stopped at a light and was gone.
Later that day, I saw my wife leaving,
down 104th in the SUV
taking thirteen years of my life.
