The Kindle 3G+WiFi and Kindle WiFi are pretty much the same unit. The difference is that the 3G+WiFi has a socket and a 3G modem card inside. The rest of the hardware and firmware are exactly the same.

The Kindle 3G + WiFi has NEVER had the reset problem. The US Kindle WiFi has ALWAYS had the reset problem. The Kindle WiFi for other countries also seems not to have this problem.
When others comment here, please indicate if its 3G OR WiFi and country. That makes a BIG difference. I believe Tiersten is from the UK and has the 3G unit.
If I see a lot of folks here commenting that they have the US Kindle WiFi and never had a reset problem, then I will call Amazon CS again and get my THIRD unit. Its also possible that early runs of the Kindle WiFi had the problem but recent runs have finally solved the issue.
