Thanks! Went there a couple hours ago. No joy: they just have the covers for the 950 and the 350, plus some generic ones that are outrageously priced. There's actually a Sony kiosk vendor on the 3rd floor right below that Borders, and he had the cover with the light for the 650, but I really didn't like the bulk of that added block of the light in the spine.

One thought occurred to me and I checked a couple of measurements online. I determined that if I got a generic DVD plastic case, the kind of rectangular hardcase that DVDs are sold in at any store, if I could remove the interior of the casing (the part that holds the DVD) so that I just had an empty shell, the 650 would fit perfectly in there. Just line it with a bit of felt or some sort of cushioning material, and you'd have a nice, cheap protective hardcase for the thing. I'll have to see if the interior of DVD cases can be removed.
