A friend of mine was received two empty boxes with iPhone 4 - from two different ebay sellers (UK and Singapore) at same time. I always prefer to buy more expensive but real things with proper warranties.

As for these 50$ Kindles it is UNREAL. He claims they are NEW. And look - it shows all 199 are sold. Is this number is from the eBay or seller writes it? Wow, he sold a 199 Kindles in one day!

I think it is more trivial - seller will send something like an e-reader (5" TFT tablet with Windows CE very old model) instead a Kindle. It is impossible to be a real Kindle 3.

As for a PayPal protection - it is a very slow procedure. And Paypal cannot take the money back if he had withdrawn it yet. He will just have a negative Paypal ballance and it may stay negative for a years (with blocked eBay account, of course). Of course, if buyers win the claims the Paypal will refund them (causing the seller's account to go negative). I have seen a friend's Paypal ballance with -7500$ (negative). And nobody goes to take him to the jail! I am absolutely not endorsing this (eBay scam).
