The idea that availability or high prices "drive" people to piracy is very likely one of those things that everyone knows to be true... that turns out to not to be true at all.
And yet sites like allofmp3 prove that people are willing to buy music at much lower prices, rather than pirate it. So it isn't as simple as 'people will pirate whatever the price'
