Can you give us a little more info on how the Nook Color felt in your hands? Was it heavy? Sturdy? Plasticy? Can you imagine lying in bed and casually reading a magazine on it?

I've pretty much decided that it will be the perfect companion to my O.G. Nook and my netbook, but I just want to play with it first.
It"s actually pretty comfortable to hold because of the softer contours and thinness. But not exactly light-nothing over a pound is exactly light. The Nook Color definitely works better in a case(actually got mine delivered today while at work). It is perfect for reading full novels in bed and magazines, without a doubt. I would not necessarily throw it around as I do with the Kindle 3 and Original Nook when in their cases(which they always are of course). By that I don't mean dropping it on the floor casually, but more on the couch or bed etc. It is very comfortable to hold despite the weight, since it is balanced so well. A good case helps though, since you can use it to balance on a table, desk, thigh etc-it does get heavy after about 10 minutes. Then again, so do the Nook and even Kindle 3 and any hardback book and most trade paperbacks. The only books that do not get weighty are the smaller paperbacks-and I gladly trade that for the readability on the Nook Color,Nook, Kindle etc. Hope that helps!!!
