Rather than giving the cat a kick (no, it's too sweet) I would like to use this thread to get something of my chest.
Till last year I had an iLiad ereader, which I loved. I tinkered with it and read the developers forum like an exciting novel.
One day it swallowed the wrong book ( or I experimented too much) and died on me.
And also the company iRex went bankrupt and the --already non existing customerservice-----disappeared completely. ###########!
And I just loved that ereader; saved for two years and paid about 400 euro for it.
Now I've got myself a Kindle 3---beautiful Oberon wild red roses cover
--and I just love it. I saved up for it; did some extra jobs.
I took care of it. No….no Kindlehack for me…..not even for screensavers….careful with my Kindle….didn't even look at developers forum.
All my books I sorted and sorted in nice collections: 2000 in 4 different languages; read and unread; what a wealth.
Last week the trouble began with Anna Karenina: My Kindle choked on it………………I deleted Anna and got another one from Feedbooks.
From that day on my Kindle was doomed. It's internal storage went on boiling to 3,2 GB when it was 1,9 GB the previous day.
I tried to save it by rebooting, setting to factory default, calling Amazon from overseas, but ………………all in vain.
Now Christine from Amazon tells me I get a complete new Kindle…………what! can't be true……………......................................... ..to deliver between the
10 and 21th of january.
And now I go sit in a quiet corner....read all 2084 posts of ' Add/read a good joke to lighten your day' .........try to count all my blessings......and wait for the blues to go away.
