I've been attempting to do the firmware upgrade, and I'm at the stage in which I need to put my Kobo into Upgrade Mode. However, my Kobo will not go into Upgrade Mode. I'm following the instructions exactly as it states. When I press the buttons at the same time, the red light comes on, but when I release the buttons, the light goes off and the screen still has a cover image.

I really want to get this firmware update. I had a problem a couple months ago in which the Kobo software couldn't connect to the internet (even though I was clearly on the internet). I was excited to see that that issue had been fixed, but now I'm angry that I can't get my Kobo into Upgrade Mode.

If I can't get this update working, I'm tempted to buy another type of e-reader. This is ridiculous. An update shouldn't be this complicated.

Can someone help me make my Kobo work properly?
