Do Gift Certificates overwrite the 1-Click?

I've received a refund from Amazon in the form of a £20 gift certificate because the price of my extended warranty for the Kindle 3 dropped by approximately the same amount.

I have gone through and applied it to my account.

If I press 1-click for a book I'd like, will it take the amount off the certificate balance by default, rather than the card I have set up?

Sorry if this is a stupid question but b*ggered if I can find an explanation on the Amazon website and I know somewhere here will know!
