In my defense, your threads were not an objection to the original post, but to the way we were all looking forward to the nook color. Don't you think perhaps your criticism was a bit harsh and maybe inflammatory?
If it were, I offer my apologies as well. The respectable reviews are here and I don't the see point discussing whether some statements made here were wishes from future nook color enthusiasts or people who for a fact knew what they were talking about.

In fact, in my original post here I was pondering buying the Archos 101. In the end, the screen quality, size/weight, and form factor seemed to be closer to what I have been looking for. So, I took a chance on the pre-order. I'm not sure why that is such a big deal.
It was never a big deal to me, I dont know where you get that. But dont you feel that as the reviews from engaget or cnet were published today you now feel like your getting less of a cat in bag? I certainly found them very informative as opposed to what looked like wishlists of users published before that. They basically tell me the hardware is great, the software needs to improvement to get as good a score. As a nook "classic" owner, I'll wait and see what the 1.5 brings. do they dare updating core android over the air. If not it will tell me that nook color users are probably stuck with android 2.1 for the life of the device which is not perfect. Unless I fall in love with the device in my hand tomorrow at b&n store, I will probably also wait for Q1 2011 to see how their version of android market turns out. It may be the case that rooting specialists will beat b&n to it and put android market on rooted nook color. We'll see.
