Wow, my friend, that is some high praise for the screen. Since my NookColor has shipped, I should have it by Friday at the latest. I'm hoping to play with it all weekend and write the review. Expect it early to middle of next week. At this point, since you have actually seen it, you know more about it than I do.

In fact, in my original post here I was pondering buying the Archos 101. In the end, the screen quality, size/weight, and form factor seemed to be closer to what I have been looking for. So, I took a chance on the pre-order. I'm not sure why that is such a big deal.

I think you made the right choice Noah. Just my personal opinion though. Still, I've studied LCD reading devices and multi-function tablets for a while now. This honestly seems like the best deal for the price. I'll know for sure soon. If you think back to when the iPhone came out, there was a lot of controversy surrounding it. Lines were quickly drawn on both sides and people had opinions. Same thing can be said about iPods. In the end, it was proven that Apple made a good business decision. A few years ago some people on this site scoffed at my predictions for LCD tablets. I'll make another prediction.

I predict that Barnes & Noble made a solid, educated, and successful decision to release this new class of reading device: The color reading tablet. I'll get laughed at for this one too.
