It has high quality specs for a low price. Fact.

Just because people aren't holding one in their hand doesn't mean any of the things above are not facts. The above facts were proven during the announcement of the device. What the heck are you babbling about with the vividview technology? The specs that say EXACTLY what it is are right on the website (a high quality screen by LG).

P.S. To the original poster - I agree with spec about your under-handed link. If I was the moderator here, and I'm a little more drastic than some, I would ban you right now. You should remove the link and link directly to the Nook site. Clever, but EPIC FAIL.
I just came from B&N who had several working models. You are not kidding when you say it has a high quality screen. In fact I think you might be underestimating it. It is the best screen that I have ever seen outside of the iPhone 4G.

When it is switched off the screen is a very dark blue. When it is on the screen is not harsh at all but very soothing. I think this device was made for people who dislike LCD. I'll also say that as a reader and with its phenomenal screen, this $250 device outshines (pun intended) the iPad. As I suspected I found the fonts are much cleaner and easier to read than on the iPad.

I went into the store wanting to dislike the Nook Color because I wanted to wait and see what RIMM's more advanced Playbook could do. But after a few minutes with it I was nearly sold and put my name on a list for the store stock arriving in about a week.

ColdSun, I look forward to your review of the NC.
