I make a point of re-reading Terry Pratchett's
Hogfather every year around this time, to remind me of the true spirit of Christmas. Sometimes I also re-watch Tim Burton's
The Nightmare Before Christmas, for much the same reasons, but I'm a lot more inconsistent with that.
This year, I'll probably add in Charles Stross' short story
Overtime (Hugo-nominated, hilarious) to the seasonal media list, and hug my plush
Santa Cthulhu afterwards.
But aside from the Hogfather re-read, no, I don't normally do any special festive reading or seek out holiday-themed reads (nor do I avoid them out of Xmas burnout), though if I did, I'd be very tempted to add O. Henry's
The Gift of the Magi for irony purposes.
