Thanks. I don't have any cables at all with the reader. This is the second time she has had problems with it. I called Sony & since it has been less than 90 days since the last repair they are repairing it again. We will see what I have when I get it back. I have a sony usb cable that came with my camera that I tried before I sent it in. I think it will work to charge it because my computer recognized the reader when I had it hooked up. The screen was locked and I tried all the "fixes" that I found online but absolutely nothing worked. Ironically she bought another Sony. Don't know if I would have been that
