If the problem persists, try taking off the cover. I'm fairly certain the standard Kindle cover has been causing reboots for me -- with the cover on, it happens almost constantly (I had Amazon replace the Kindle 2x, and it kept happening). I took the cover off yesterday, and no reboot since. I'm going to give it one more day and make sure I'm still reboot-free, then call Amazon about returning the cover.
