With crossover genres I would have thought it would be easier to find forums to join though? They wouldn't need to fit exactly, there will always be a bit of an overlap. It would still be better targetting than a forum like this where reading tastes range from Dickens to Guy N Smith.
I've tried several fantasy boards (elfwood, etc.) for a while and for the most part they seem dominated on one hand by aficionados of Tolkien-esque epic fantasy (which I also enjoy, but never write) or some combination of vampires, werewolves and/or zombies.

I'm shooting (missing) for something a little more literary (pretentious). I like playing with (torturing) language.
