Sigh. It was my first solution, which I deleted. Had everything explained, even the coughs and so on. I even mentioned that pooh always kept saying "it was the penguin wot done it." But the presence of 7 butlers on the stage made me think that pshrynk was never actually murdered and that the murder victim was the cabbie (which he was).
