If you get a cover with a built-in light, it's really no faff, because it's always there. I guess it depends when you do most of your reading. If you normally read in daylight, and only occasionally at night, an eInk screen is probably better; if you normally read at night, and only occasionally in daylight (and never in full sunlight) then go for backlit LCD.
