Thanks Geoff. These paintings expresses a world of feelings.
It makes me sad to realize that all what these people want, on either side, is a safe and secure home.

It's an very old tradition: painters registring the battles.
After World War 2 we had an exhibition of Canadian war-painters in The Netherlands (Amsterdam), which showed the advance of the Allied forces in Europe.
