Hello from Soggy Oregon

Hi, I'm AlwaysReading from soggy Beaverton, Oregon where the grass isn't always green, but the moss in the lawn is.

As my screen name says, I'm always reading. From romance novels, to macroeconomics, to cereal boxes and shampoo bottles, nothing escapes my reading notice.

And really, what could be more tedious, because how many times can you read "Lather, Rinse, Repeat" without wanting to stab yourself in the eye with the handle of your back scrubber? Being of a certain age I now require reading glasses. I've never been happier about anything, because finally I can shower without reading the @#$@# shampoo instructions.

I love ereading because it's so, well, mobile. It's wonderful always to have an entire shelf of books in my purse. I read on my Palm V then my T|X. My husband gave me an iTouch two Christmases ago. As it turns out, this was right before my T|X died, so the iTouch became my primary ereader. Unfortunately, it's also my primary gaming platform, so no matter how good the book, I tend to get distracted as I get tired. Now I'd like a dedicated device.

I'm thinking pretty seriously about the new Sonys because they have e ink, are not tied to one store, handle ePubs and PDFs, and will work with library books. I could care less about instant download because my TBR shelf is usually so stacked that I always have new books to read.

Sorry, this is so long, but hey, you asked a novelist in the throws of National Novel Writing Month to write.
