Every year, you hear stories about people who drive off the road (preferable into a ditch) because their navigation system said, "turn left" and the road was gone/not yet there/any other reason...
Or people who get lost so completely somewhere abroad because they have 0 maps in their car when they're going on holiday and their navigation system decides to stop working...
I do have a nice navigation system in my car (a TomTom 920) with full coverage of Europe, but I also have this very nice paper book with all the maps as well!
