Actually you can:
Move the cursor to the start of the phrase you want to search for
Press 'select' on 5way to mark start
Move cursor to end of phrase
press the space bar
This will copy the phrase to a note dialog. modify if necessary. Note the bottom of the dialog has some buttons with a right-pointing arrow on the right. move the cursor down there and press 'right' on 5way until the wikipedia button appears and is highlighted. Then press 5way to select.
