I wouldn't be surprised if there are a number of them. For example JK Rowlings would relent and offer the Harry Potter books, I bet they'd hit it pretty quickly.

Exactly right. Regardless of other factors and how the behind the scenes calculations work, for most average people they'll see this as a sign that maybe those electronic book thingies have something to them.
