Feedbooks seems to be the best place, but they have the worst selection, I think.
Here, sometimes you get a pretty good book, but sometimes the epub version is better formatted (or the mobi version is non-existant). There's one Wodehouse book from here that is epub only, Right Ho Jeeves).
Manybooks has some issues with older titles not having chapters on the Kindle. Again, best just getting the epub and converting. But even the older ones still are good to read, just the lack of chapters bugs me.
It's a shame that Amazon doesn't really care about this, nor about how people are getting ripped off by people selling poorly formatted PD books.
But looking at B&N, I see the same thing.
