The book appalls me. Then again, so do certain other books best discussed down in the "politics and religion" forum, and those concepts have, sad to say, probably caused a great deal more damage over the years than this fool's book (pedophilia, while reprehensible, doesn't generally start wars). How far should one go in demanding that a bookseller not sell a book?

And when we get there, with the publishers -- by law or by choice -- only selling "safe" books -- is that really where we want to be?
