I do wonder though...
This entire situation is so incredibly ridiculous that there must be some other agenda going on to which we are not aware. Could this have been a "Come get the free baseball tickets" game the police use to round up large groups of scofflaws?

I really have difficulty believing that a company such as Amazon wouldn't know before hand the results of offering such a book publicly. While the company is there to make money, they also understand customer outlook, and consider such before making any dramatic moves, especially one as emotionally charged as this issue.

Just what is going on? I wonder...
