Re: mp3 player. I have never used this much on Kindle 2i, so I am only writing about what Duokan's does.
Press alt+M opens Mp3 player. You see a numbered list of tunes from your music folder under player control. Five-way give you play, pause, next. Alt+S closed player. When you use volume control, you get a little visual on volume level.
@FethryDuck: I've tried all possible permutations of Alt+Shift+G, Shift+Alt+G to no avail. (or I'd post a screenshot of Mp3 player. Hmm. I'm getting busy with that porn collection...
