You make a good point, ProfCrash. Folks on the move are attracted to a single device that does it all rather than a bag full of function-dedicated gadgets.
I guess I'm -- like many here -- someone who uses a reader as an escape route from perpetual communication. I don't want connectivity. When I turn on my wee Sony, I want nothing at all but words on a page and no distractions after maybe fourteen hours on-line work 7x7.
It's all a matter of horses for courses. The great beauty of being around today is that we now have choices. Part of the fun of being here at MR is asking and learning about how other people opt.
