I’m not sure whether I have the email details in Calibre 0.7.27 set correctly to send ebooks etc to my Kindle.
I’ve gone into calibre Preferences - Sharing books by email - and in the upper window I’ve entered the Kindle’s email address (my.name@kindle.com).
In the lower window I wasn’t sure what was needed. I tried just putting...

my.name@gmail.com but I got a failed message as follows...

So I entered my gmail details under Mail Server. This time the Send Mail test worked and I was able to send an ebook to the Kindle.
My Amazon account is set to allow emails from this gmail account.
Is it correct that I should need to input the Mail Server details for the email function to work?
