For what it's worth, I read the first 3 in this series and really enjoyed them. (Number 4 is in my queue and 5 is coming out soon.) They're a light, fun, quick-read fantasy. Not for everyone. More reviews available on goodreads.com

I was initially drawn in by the covers. Turns out the author does his own artwork.
