Actually, most people with phones I see out there are obnoxious. They usually talk too loud on their phone... And they're usually also about 99% of their time talking in their phone or at least looking at their phone, instead of the outside world.

I'd prefer to buy an USB-connect stick so I can use my laptop on 3G, rather than use a tiny (yes, 4" is tiny for internet browsing!) screen to browse the internet all day. So, I do like the functionality of a smartphone, but not the package it comes in. (besides, my phone was expensive enough as it was...)

That would depend on where you live...

Good! I usually have my phone in my laptop bag, which is the boot of the car
I'm a gadget-addict myself. But phones just simply never attracted me. I do like a good looking phone, but functionality? As long as it's easy to make a call and somewhat easy to make a text message, I'll be happy.
(oh, and a very, very, very important reason for me to not buy a smartphone is battery life. If i see some people who have to charge their phone every single day!)
