You will also need to factor in GST and the changes (increases) in other Australian taxes and import costs as well. It does get complicated for sure.

Back in the day, I would happily pay $4.99 for a paperback. Now even with my income much, much higher, I would NOT buy a paperback unless it was of extreme interest.

Without a cheaper ebook version, I would go back to buying at second hand stores like I used to do. I refuse to pay $23 for a 300 page paperback.
