I've just published a collection of original monologues, verses and lyrics as an ebook on Amazon. It's called SISTER ANNA THE JUGGLING NUN and contains a wide variety of mainly comic pieces which myself and fellow actors performed on the London revue, cabaret and music hall circuit over many years.
These verses celebrate Englishness at its most eccentric and are full of memorable characters - a kleptomaniac one-armed surgeon, a die-hard defender of lost causes, a man with a serious Bath Oliver biscuit dependency and many others, including of course the eponymous wimpled juggler.
These are family-friendly verses, meant for reading aloud.
The title piece SISTER ANNA is posted on
http://peterbobscott.blogspot.com and is also within the free sampling of the ebook.
I'd be really interested to know if the humor comes across for American readers.
