This is hilarious, because it fits right in with what I was just discussing about my spinning guild! The context in which the guild member's husband dubbed us a "coven" was when he was showing her a Roman urine receptacle in which guests were expected to pee so the urine could be used for dyeing. I commented then that I thought I should set one of those up at our next retreat, because urine has long been used in the making of indigo dye. We don't use it now, but, hey, we could!
