My old oven didn't work very well, but at least it had simple controls. I turned one knob to BAKE and the other to the temperature I wanted. Then I turned the BAKE knob to OFF when I was done. Pretty idiot-proof.
I'm sure the digital stuff is great if you're a serious cook, but all I want to do is heat up a frozen pot pie for lunch.
