I'm wondering how they select the cats for the cat cafe? They must audition them somehow, to get only the ones that won't freak out at being handled all day by strangers, and that don't fight with each other. I hope they don't keep them in cages until someone "orders" them.

Some of my friends adopted a cat from a no-kill shelter. They took me to see it. The shelter people bring new cats in and keep them in cages until they settle down. Then they open the cage doors and let them out. They have a large room full of cages and cat trees, and most of the cage doors are open. There are about a hundred cats in the room, just wandering about, and visitors can go in and play with them. I don't think I'd want to be served coffee in that room.
