Alarm? Why waste time going to bed and getting up again?
Just have MR scrolling in forum spy and set MR to send an email when a new post comes up. Then have your email window open and set to sound an alarm to let you know a new post is there.
Just grab a blanket and pillow and you are all set. See? You don't have to waste time with all that going to be and getting up again.
