From what I read on this forum, the problem with remembering not the last page, but a few pages back might come from the reflow. For example, if the piece of text that you are looking at (your last page) would be at the bottom of the page in the original formatting, the reader will take you at the beginning of that original format page, a few pages back from your point of view.
And for the problem with connecting to the PC for charging, they said that it would work if the reader is off when you make the connection.
I don't know about the rest.
