have you tried it yet? technically the voltage and current numbers are right (1A=1000mah) tho there may be other considerations as people have mentioned in this thread.
FWIW, the one i bought on ebay for $4.49 shipped, works great. It was titled "Dual 2 Port USB Wall AC Charger Adapter for iPhone iPod", from seller named 'eforcity-select'. Specs on it are: "Input: AC 100 - 240 V
Output: DC 5 - 5.5 V / 1000 mA".
