I once accidentally plugged in my netbook's power adapter into my wireless headphones to charge them, and they basically blew up (I heard a pop, smelled smoke, and yea, the headphones never worked again). Even tho the connector 'fit' into it perfectly (which is why I accidentally did it). Let that be a lesson to everyone out there.
