Robert Jordan planned to write the twelfth and last book under the title "A Memory of Light".
After his death, Brandon Sanders was chosen to write that book. It turned out to be massive (see
this announcement), and was split into three books:
- "The Gathering Storm", the first WoT title written by Brandon,
- "Towers of Midnight" is the second, now released book, and
- the working title for the last book
as of now is "A Memory of Light" (according to
this page)
