I agree, Steve. Although that sort of thing is transparent to savvy readers, it pulls down the overall ranking, which might turn away readers who would honestly love the book. It's like these people can't love more than one writer. What will they do when that author stops writing? If they do it to someone else's favorite author, what's to say those fans won't do it to theirs? If Amazon removed the reviewing privileges of people who post fake reviews, it might stop that nonsense.
