Looks like another one bites the dust. Despite my earlier optimistic conversations with Mr. Chen, president of Innoversal, there has been no news now for nearly two months. In addition, emails that I've submitted to him have gone unanswered. Their website was last updated in March 2010, and Mr. Chen's blog (
http://cooperchen.blogspot.com/2010/...ming-soon.html) hasn't been updated since July. I suppose I should have expected this, but to say I'm disappointed would be an understatement. The Papyrus and the Lattice were exactly what I was interested in for an ereader and for a tablet PC. There is still hope for a large format ereader, ASUS has released their DR-900 in Asia, hopefully it will migrate to N. America soon. Pocketbook is taking pre-orders for the Pocketbook 902, but despite more than a year of promises, we still don't have a physical piece of hardware to demonstrate that these machines were anything more than empty promises.
I am not the slightest bit interested in the iPad, Commodore ended my support for proprietary hardware, so I guess I just have to "make-do" with my Kobo and pray that one of the ereader makers out there actually follows through on their promises.
